The unique taste of Encore comes from Isfahani tobacco. Grown high in the mountains of central Iran, this variety produces thick leaves packed with flavour. These are sun-dried in the traditional way, then put through Black Note?€?s flavour extraction process. The result is a complex and exotic vape that will remind you why pipe smokers have prized Isfahani tobacco for almost 200 years.
You?€?ll notice we used three different terms when referring to our Encore vaping liquid. We called it an Isfahani blend and later referred to it as Ajami Tombac. All three terms are correct, with each associated with different aspects of this flavorful, honey-like tobacco.
Isfahani: This term refers to the Iranian city of Isfahan (Persian: ????????????) the region where the tobacco is grown. The city is located on the north bank of the Zayandeh River, approximately 5,200 feet above sea level. The oriental climate produces tobacco rich in ethereal oils, resins ?€? and taste.
Ajami Tombac: The terms Ajami and Tombac can be used separately or together, and they always refer to the same thing: the specific type of tobacco used in Encore.
Ajami: In Arabic, Ajam (??????) refers to ?€?Persian?€?. The term Ajami means ?€?From Persia?€? and is used to describe the type of tombac, or tobacco from the land of Persia/Iran.
Tombac: Tombac is the name of a tobacco variety indigenous to Iran. The word ?€?Tombac?€? is thought to be of Turkish origin, likely mimicking the European word ?€?tobacco.?€?
Ajami + Tombac + Isfahani
Put the three terms together and there is no mistaking the specific type of tobacco to which you?€?re referring. If you want to get technical about it, the Isfahani blend of Ajami Tombac is tobacco of the Nicotiana alata Persian species, which is a subgenus of the cultivated tobacco technically known as Nicotiana tabacum Petunioides
