Select the right e-liquid

The first thing you have to do is select the right e-liquid between vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol. While the former provides thicker vapor plumes when puffed out, the later provides stronger hit with more intense flavor.  You may not know which is right for you until you experiment between the two. After deciding which is better for you, it’s important to stick to it.

Generally, you will need to press down the e-cigarette’s button for some seconds before inhaling. This is basically important to make sure that evaporation begins properly.

You don’t need to inhale

Contrary to popular beliefs, you can still get the same level of nicotine from vapers even if you don’t inhale them. The soft tissues in your mouth can absolve the nicotine whether you inhale them or not. A lot of people feel inhaling is the best way to get nicotine, but this is absolutely false. Most people that love to inhale do that because of their cigarette inhaling habit.  So, you can still enjoy your e-cigarette in your mouth even when you don’t inhale the vape.

Which do you prefer – long or short drags?

If you’re taking a normal cigarette, a short drag will be effective. However, e-cigs work differently. Their evaporation is dependent on a liquid. A short drag will not be as effective as a long drag in this case. You will enjoy the vapor better if you have a slow long drag plus the benefit of avoiding taking excess e-liquid.

Best way to properly inhale vape

If you’re a vaping beginner, you need to take about 5 draws on your vaporizer before you hold the vapor in your mouth for several seconds. Thereafter, you may inhale into the lungs first before exhaling or just exhale directly without taking it into your lungs. But remember that it takes more time for the body to absorb the effects of nicotine using a vapor than when you take normal cigarettes. It takes about 25 minutes to get the hit from vapor while for cigarettes it takes only about 7 seconds.


New vapers who are just trying out e-cigs for the first time are always surprised to find out how normal cigarettes are quite different from e-cigs. They easily find out inhaling methods are different even though most companies have tried to strike a resemblance between the appearance.  One thing to note is that e-cigarettes are not puffed the same way you take normal cigarettes.
